About Hancock County Court Records

Court records in Hancock County, Indiana move through several official channels: Indiana MyCase, the Hancock County Clerk of the Circuit Court / County Clerk, the Circuit and Superior Courts, and separate sheriff and jail systems. We built this site so readers can understand which office or public portal fits a court, inmate, warrant, traffic, marriage, divorce, or probate record need.

Why We Built This Site

Indiana gives the public access to many court records, but Hancock County records are not held in one place. MyCase is the statewide public case-search portal. The Hancock County Clerk in room 213 of the courthouse handles official copies and certified documents. The Circuit Court, Superior Court I, and Superior Court II handle different case mixes. The sheriff and jail keep law-enforcement and custody records outside the court file. This site brings those routes together in plain language.

What We Cannot Do

This is a privately run reference site. We have no connection to any Indiana court, Hancock County office, sheriff's office, jail, prosecutor, public defender, or state agency. There are real limits to what we can help with:

  • We cannot file paperwork or send records requests on your behalf
  • We cannot issue certified copies of any court document or vital record
  • We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific case applies to you
  • We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, address, or court procedure is current right now

Only the issuing court or government office can provide a certified copy with an official seal. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.

Search Partners

Some pages on this site include search boxes powered by third-party providers. Those companies set their own pricing and run their own services. When you use one of those tools and it leads to a paid signup, we may earn a referral fee. That revenue helps keep this site free for visitors. We do not control what those tools charge or what shows up in their results.
